There Are No Tents at Audacity Camp: Coach Jennie

There are no tents at Audacity Camp! That’s like there’s no crying in baseball. 🙂  In this week’s podcast, Coach Jennie lights up the podcast with her unique energy and an invitation to be audacious AND impactful. Her first unconference, Audacity Camp, is coming up on May 2, 2015 in New York City and this conversation will definitely make you want to buy a ticket. Coach Jennie teaches that we can all take ordinary, every day experiences and make them epic.

Many of us have yearnings to be more than normal, to live big and have a big impact. However, there are so few of us who are willing to take action on our stories. At some point if you want to make a bigger impact on the world based on who you are and what you have to contribute, you can no longer accept just being ‘normal’. You can’t be happy inside the box. At some point you must decide to quite fighting with who you really are and grab onto audacity and run with it.

What is Audacity Camp?

In today’s podcast, you will be excited and challenged to have a bigger impact while learning:

  • A new definition of audacity
  • Why audacious people are also inhabitants of the island of misfit toys
  • How you can make an impact on the world, big or small.
  • The unlikely incident that woke up Coach Jennie’s audacity and how you can wake yours too
  • How incomplete personal development can leave you in worse shape than before
  • What one concept you need to embrace for success
  • The difference between a conference and an unconference

What is an Audacity Coach?

Jennie Mustafa-Julock, also known as Coach Jennie, works with people who have seriously ambitious dreams but need a dose of spunk and grit to pull them within reach.  Coach Jennie doesn’t subscribe to the theory of gentle encouragement coaching. Her signature cathartic shoves get you unstuck and unstoppable. She is on a mission to instigate Audacity in as many humans as possible.

Coach Jennie runs a seriously awesome free online community called the Audacity LAB (League of Ambitious Badasses) that connects hundreds of these inspiring people with others who also live Audaciously. And Coach Jennie is most excited about her highly anticipated upcoming event called “Audacity Camp,” the first ever unconventional conference of to be held May 2, 2015 in New York City.

Simply put, Coach Jennie helps driven individuals on the brink of something spectacular to bust through obstacles and astonish the heck out of themselves.

What did you think? Do you have a new appreciation for the word, audacity? Don’t you want to go to camp?! Especially, now that you know there are no tents, bugs, or cabins? Raise your hand if 2020 looked anything like the p Raise your hand if 2020 looked anything like the plans you made for it at the end of last year! Yeah? Me neither. But you know what? I never would have guessed I’d have grown my coaching practice 3-fold as a result of a global pandemic and shutdown. I learned my flexibility and ability to pivot is critical to being happy and successful and that I can survive just about anything and continue finding joy and laughter. What unexpected lessons did you discover in 2020? And what’s in the plans for ’21?
Are you ready to scream if someone asks you for ON Are you ready to scream if someone asks you for ONE MORE THING? Here's a quick solution: Say No. You can say yes to all the things that matter, IF you say no to the things that don't. You can't do everything. Let me say that again, you cannot do everything. Did I hear a sigh of relief? Good. All that stuff that isn't important right now? Let it go. I'm becoming a 'let it go' ninja. Who's with me?
Just as there are seasons throughout the year, the Just as there are seasons throughout the year, there are seasons throughout our lives that change too. When this year began, I have a pretty rigid set of expectations. Ha! Fooled me! I'm not mad because I'm now in a completely different space, knowing that by bending I won't break. Flexible is the name of the game, staying on the balls of my feet. I’m so grateful for these changes, because it’s a reminder that nothing lasts forever. What season are you in today?
Low self-confidence isn't a life sentence. Why do Low self-confidence isn't a life sentence. Why do we think a circumstance has to last forever? It doesn't. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One of the best things about my coaching programs (besides getting to frolic with me, the original Chief Encouragement Officer) is the boost in self-confidence you'll experience. I know how to help you tap into all your strengths and skills and remember how awesome you are!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ever feel like your progress suddenly slammed into Ever feel like your progress suddenly slammed into a brick wall? I promise you, sis, I’ve been there! In fact, I can distinctly remember losing my mind when my hard drive failed on my computer. EVERYTHING was on it. I had backups of some stuff in some other places but it was my single source of truth and goodness. 🤣 The real question is, what did I DO? I pulled up my big girl panties, thought about what files I really needed right away and checked my DropBox folder for those files. The important part is I chose not to panic, which gave me the energy I needed to make things better. I'm not saying I never have emotional responses, but more often than not I choose to respond as if things are going to be ok. Because they are. Break on through, sis... You’ve got this! Drop an emoji below if you’re committed to breaking through.
Let’s play a game… If you could get coffee/tea Let’s play a game… If you could get coffee/tea with one person (dead or alive), who would it be?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For me, it would be Maya Angelou because I'd love to have her on my podcast to talk about confidence and learning to stop caring what other people think.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I would meet her anywhere she chose and we'd drink whatever she wanted. I just want to soak up all that wisdom, laugh until I need my inhaler, and ask her questions until she makes me stop. It sounds like the perfect coffee date to me!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now it’s your turn… Who would YOU get coffee/tea with?!
What’s the weather like where you live? Here in What’s the weather like where you live? Here in North Carolina where I currently live (I'm planning a move in February!) it's starting to act like winter. The temps are cold to us, but we still have leaves on the trees and sporadic 60+ degree days. Whether it’s cold and snowy in your neck of the woods or the white caps of the ocean waves are as close to a “White Christmas” as you're going to get, I hope you’re enjoying your Monday! I certainly am, as I’m getting ready to find my holiday stuff and do a wee bit of decorating. But before I do that, I just wanted to say that wherever you are in the world, thanks for letting me be a part of your world!
