Being adaptable is important to me.
Life throws many curve balls at me. Schedule changes happen that are out of my control. Others behave in ways that are unexpected.
Even situations like weather and traffic can have a profound effect on me. It serves me well to remember that I am flexible.
I am able to adapt to many situations throughout each day.
When outside forces alter my plans, rather than choosing to feel frustrated or angry, I accept the change and consider alternative ways to meet my goals. Allowing myself a few minutes to consider the change and considers its effects on my day help me adjust.
When I show my ability to be adaptable, I set a good example for others. By being flexible, I make things easier for everyone involved.
I know that others sometimes act in ways that keep me from doing something I want to do. I am flexible enough to realize that others can choose to do whatever they like. I can only control my own behavior.
Today, I can adjust to any unforeseen situation that arises. It is important to be adaptable because my life is less stressful when I am flexible. I am confident I can handle anything because of my ability to adapt.
